Helping Families Fill the Gap When School Is Out
When school is in session, many children rely on free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch programs for nutritious meals. But when school closes for spring break, summer vacation and fall break, families often face the added expense of providing additional meals at home.

El Reno Blessing Baskets' Families with Children Grocery Program helps ease that burden by providing healthy, kid-friendly groceries to eligible families throughout Western Canadian County during school breaks, helping ensure children continue to have access to nutritious food when they need it most.

What's Included?
Eligible families receive groceries during scheduled distributions throughout the year, including spring break, summer break and fall break. Grocery selections include nutritious, family-friendly foods designed to help supplement household meals while children are out of school.

As our new client-choice market opens, families will have the opportunity to select many of the foods that best meet their household's preferences and dietary needs. This personalized shopping experience gives parents greater flexibility while providing a more welcoming way to receive assistance.

Qualifications
To participate in the Families with Children Grocery Program, applicants must:

Live in Western Canadian County

Have one or more children living in the home

Meet program income guidelines
Applications are reviewed to ensure assistance reaches families experiencing food insecurity during school breaks.
